Martin Wolf Wagner sets in scene football and golf greens at night

Landscapes, football greens. Mostly deserted and at night. City Flair and scenes at the beach – these are the themes of Martin Wolf Wagner, who has been awarded by the Getty Images in the showcase “New Photographers 2007” as one of the most innovative and world’s premier photographers.
His pictures are created often by longtime exposures, producing with a calculated coincidence color shades which do not exist or do not occur like this in nature – like copper or magenta colored skies. The strictness of emptiness in Wagner’s pictures also has a kind of meditative atmosphere. They prompt thinking by aesthetics, realization through art. Here color acquires its own materiality.
